Drs Woods and Allam state that Neuromuscular blocking drugs were first introduced into clinical practice in 1942 in the USA. The report may have been published in an American journal but, at the time of his revolutionary introduction of curare into anaesthetic practice, Dr Harold Griffith was a Canadian anesthesiologist working in Montreal, Canada.
