* To whom correspondence should be addressed. We report a patient who sustained massive catastrophic pulmonary fat embolism while undergoing surgery for intramedullary nail of femur. Application of percutaneous cardiopulmonary support, in our view, saved the patient from cardiopulmonary collapse.
