INTERPLEURAL REGIONAL ANALGESIA: DETECTION OF THE INTERPLEURAL SPACE BY SALINE INFUSION

A saline infusion technique is described for insertion of an interpleural catheter, to reduce the incidence of pneumothorax during conduct of interpleural block, especially if the block is used as an adjunct to general anaesthesia.
