In the human isolated arm preparation Org NC 45 had a significantly faster rate of recovery and a shorter duration of action (end of injection to 90% recovery of control twitch height) than pancuronium. The isolated arm preparation is suitable for the qualitative comparison of the neuromuscular blocking activities of new and established drugs.
