UNILATERAL PULMONARY OEDEMA FOLLOWING AORTA TO RIGHT PULMONARY ARTERY ANASTOMOSIS(WATERSTON'S OPERATION)

Three patients with pulmonary oedema are described, in which the application of an end-expiratory pressure during LPPV resulted in an improvement in oxygenarion. It is suggested that provided there is no effect on the cardiovascular system during such a manoeuvre, it may be the only means by which acceptable arterial oxygen tensions can be attained
