THE OXYGENATION OF BLOOD BY HYDROGEN PEROXIDE: IN VITRO STUDIES

When solutions of hydrogen peroxide are added to human blood oxygen is evolved. The oxygenation of bank blood by this method is investigated to assess its suitability for clinical use. Oxygenation of blood by this method is found to be a rapid and efficient process. Possible clinical applications are discussed.
